Ritz Carlton Moscow
When I think about Ritz Carlton Moscow hotel, an intersting phrase pops in my head - "luxury by default". Sounds strange, but that's exactly it - when you stay in Ritz Carlton, you'll see luxury everywhere, even in the tiniest, most insignificant detail.
The rooms, the furniture, the beds, the view - everything has been created to match even the highest expectations that the visitors of Ritz Carlton definitely have!
When you move in, you'll immediately feel the difference between Ritz Carlton and every other Moscow hotel. The place's just breathing with splendor! Me - I was afraid to even touch the expensive, antique things around because I couldn't get rid of feeling I was in museum!

Ritz Carlton Moscow may not have such a rich history as "Metropol" or "National", but it can very well match them in everything else.
In fact, lack of history can be an advantage - although all other hotels have been thoroughly renovated, it's always better to build "from scratch" using the most advanced modern technologies.
That is precisely the case with Ritz Carlton Moscow. Once you approach the hotel's building on Tverskaya st., you'll see it's just a couple of years old - although the architecture is strictly neo-classical, without most of the modern extravaganza.
Once inside, you'll be greeted by a stunning lobby that can take away even an experienced traveler. Shining marble, deluxe furniture - did you know it took about 30 kilos of gold to decorate it?
Well, one thing's for certain - it was worth every last ounce, as the beauty you'll see in that lobby is hard to find anywhere else!
The hotel sits right next to the Red Square. Not "almost", not "just around the corner" - when I say "next to the Red Square", I mean it! You can perfectly see St. Basil's cathedral right from the O2 lounge summer terrace, as well as from several suites!
Another good thing is that view is not blocked by other buildings - you couldn't get closer even if you were the President of Russia! Score one more for Ritz Carlton Moscow, as such exclusive sight is worth a thousand words!
Depending on your travel budget, Ritz Carlton offers several types of rooms. The most basic one is "Club Room", 42 to 53 square meters in size, with marble baths, flat screen TV, two sinks and a scenic floor.

Don't be fooled by the words "most basic" - remember I said Ritz Carlton means "luxury by default"? Well, that's precisely the case - even the cheapest room has more luxury than other hotels can offer! However, if you need more splendor, you can always choose
- Superior room - with even better furnishing and equipment.
- Executive suite - another level of comfort and style, with Japanese garden view, excellent decor and beautiful sitting area.
- Carlton suite - almost 130(!) sq. meters in size, with side views of Red Square and Tverskaya, large marble bathroom, separate dressing area and an option to expand it with adjacent superior room.
- The Ritz-Carlton suite - 240(!!) sq. meters large, with floor-to-ceiling windows overseeing the Kremlin and Christ the Savior Cathedral, classic Russian-style furniture and even high-security panic room (that you'll never need).
In addition, there's a whole Club Lounge upstairs, with excellent view, 5 daily food and beverage presentations, expensive furniture and lots of marble. Now if that's not high class - I don't know what is!
Got hungry? Apart from "O2 Lounge", "Ritz Carlton Bar and Lobby Lounge" where you can have a quick snack, there is a beautiful wineroom and 2 splendid restaurants- "Jeroboam" and "Caviarterra", the latter serving the finest caviar around.
In case you want to hold a meeting, there's a selection of 7 meeting rooms, from 12 and up to 650 people in capacity. That is enough to host the members of little political party and even stage your own little revolution! Needless to say, all of the rooms possess cutting-edge equipment and decor.
Got tired after all the work? There's an excellent, stylish SPA! Ever since I've first seen it, it keeps astounding me with its "space ship"-like decorations.

I'm serious - the interiors resemble an alien space vessel from the movies...and have you seen the pool? I guess its slogan could be "to boldly go where no man has gone before" - and that's true for the rest of the hotel as well!
I'm not going to discuss prices here. Ritz Carlton Moscow hotel is not cheap even relative to other Moscow 5 star hotels. But guess what - it's still worth every last dime!
To go there, to see and touch it is worth much more than a certain amount of dollars you're going to spend. I definitely advise Ritz Carlton if you're looking for stylish, beautiful and extremely comfortable trip to Moscow.
...and I must say I envy you already
