God I'd like to be in your shoes! Just a mere thought of "Metropol" luxury makes me envy you really-really nasty - and trust me when I say I'm not an envious person.
Built in 1905, it has always set the standards of the industry, and not even Communists could change it.
After all, every country needs a place to host its VIP's, doesn't matter if it's Moscow, New-York or Tehran.
It served as Red Army headquarters for some time, but the new owners quickly realized they still needed to accept high-ranking guests.
Guess what - the October revolution didn't leave that much places to do that.And so "Metropol" was reborn...
It was a home to Bernard Show, Marlene Dietrich, and even Mao Zedong - people USSR cared greatly about, and not just USSR.
Every country would be delighted to accept these celebrities, and you couldn't just put them anywhere. No, you need a real luxury for that - and the hotel stood up to the test!

"Metropol" is an incarnation of Russian splendor. You'll know what I mean when you get to see the enormous lobby, full of beautiful sculptures and decor.
Well, the amazement doesn't end there for sure!
You won't find two similar rooms - they all have unique design and colors, decorated with antique articles and furniture. May sound like I'm talking about deluxe suites here, but mind I was speaking only about Standard apartments. As you see, they are not "standard" at all!

The Junior suite offers a higher level of comfort, antiquity and luxury. It's also bigger, around 50 sq. meters. Plenty of space to go around!
If you order Deluxe room, well....let's just say it looks more like a palace than a hotel apartment, but that's not all! You can have better rooms, up to astonishing "Presidential suite", equipped with everything including refrigerator and furnished well enough to host an oil sheikh!
